AlcoTec Almigweld Aluminum MIG Welding Wire of 3/64" Dia is made of 1100 alloy with copper as the principle alloying element. Wire with 1190 to 1215 deg F melting range is non-heat treatable and offers high resistance to chemical attack as well as weathering. Wire is formed from a softer, extremely formable alloy that is widely used in thin gauge, foil products and as a filler alloy for welding purposes. Wire has alloy with desirable welding characteristics that obtains light golden color and bright finish when anodized. It is ideal for heat exchangers, food-handling equipment, rivets, metalizing and as filler wire, tire wire in welding applications. It is normally associated with ER1100 class of wires. Wire with .098 lb/cu.in density comes in a spool of 20 lb. Wire meets ANSI/AWS A5.10, ASTM B316, QQ-A-430, AMS 4102 standards. Features:
- Non-Heat treatable
- Principle alloying elements: Copper
- A desirable characteristic of the alloy is the bright finishes obtained by anodizing
