Use with 3M™Respirators 5000, 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series, according to NIOSH approvals. When properly selected, cartridges and filters help provide protection from a variety of gases, vapors and particulate hazards. Available with 3M™Service Life Indicator, an end-of-service-life indicator (ESLI) that can help users determine when to change cartridges in appropriate environments.

• Nuisance level organic vapors refer to concentrations less than the OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection against organic vapors.
• Nuisance level acid gases refer to concentrations less than the OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection against acid gases.
• 3M™recommended for ozone protection up to 10 x OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Not NIOSH approved for use against ozone.
• OSHA regulations require gas proof goggles be worn with half facepiece respirators when used against formaldehyde.
• Only 3M™filters 2000 Series, 7093, 5N11 or 5P71 are approved for use with 3M™5000 Series Respirators. Cartridges on 5000 Series Respirators cannot be replaced. The 3M™Filter Adapter 502 is required for use of the 2000 Series and 7093 filters with the 5000 Series Respirators and 6000 Series Cartridges. The 3M™Filter Retainer 501 is required for use of the 5N11 and 5P71 prefilters with the 5000 Series Respirators. The 502 adapter cannot be reused.

• Marketing Description - The 3M™ organic vapor/acid gas cartridge/filter 60923 P100 helps provide protection against certain organic vapors, acid gases and particulates in a variety of environments. The cartridge/filter combination may be used for respiratory protection from certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen fluoride and non-oil and oil particulate concentrations up to 10X the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half face pieces or 50X PEL with quantitatively fit tested full face pieces. This cartridge/filter is not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Recommended applications for the cartridge/filter include chemical manufacturing, laboratories, petrochemical and pharmaceuticals. Inventory needs and training requirements for safety equipment are reduced because this respirator cartridge/filter selection works for many different applications. This cartridge/filter is commonly used in the following industries: chemicals, general manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. This organic vapor/acid gas cartridge/filter works with 3M™ half and full face pieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series with bayonet attachment holders or 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal face pieces with 3M™ Scott™ AV-632 bayonet adapter. The cartridge is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing acid gases and non-oil and oil particulates. The cartridge has been assigned the color-code "magenta/yellow" in the NIOSH system.
