Meet the Team
David Malecki – President and CEO
David joined Premier Safety in mid-2021 as Vice President of Sales, where he was responsible for Premier Safety’s Sales, Customer Service and Digital Sales teams. In March, 2022 David was promoted to President and CEO. With over 20 years of experience in the distribution business, David brings a wealth of sales and leadership experience and a passion to drive positive change within the industry. Based on his time at the company, he has proven the ability to perform well at the highest level and execute on the strategic objectives of the organization to maximize growth opportunities.
Prior to Premier Safety, David’s experience in the industrial and safety distribution industry includes greater than 20-years with Cameron & Barkley Company, Hagemeyer North America and Vallen Distribution. During his tenure, he had multiple leadership roles, including: Market Manager, National Account Manager, Regional Sales Director and Business Development Director.
David played division-1 collegiate baseball and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida.
Will Krieg - Chief Financial Officer
Will joined Premier Safety in 2017. In this role, he oversees the Finance and Accounting teams. Will has an additional role as CFO of Safety Instruments & Supply Solutions for Technical Solutions Holdings.
Will has over 13 years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to Premier Safety, he was a Special Accounting Analyst at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
Will earned a Bachelor's degree from Oakland University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2013.
Michael C McCallion – Chief Operating Officer
Mike joined Premier Safety in early 2020. In his role he is responsible for strategic direction of the Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain and IT teams.
Mike has over 30 years experience in Manufacturing and Industrial Distribution. Prior to Premier Safety, he was the COO for Lighting Supply, a leading commercial and residential lighting and lighting related distributor. Mike began his career with Motorola in various Operations and Supply Chain roles in the US and Europe and with Grainger Industrial Supply in their Corporate office.
Mike earned his Bachelor’s from Michigan State University. He also holds an MBA from Lake Forest University and a CPM.
Ed Laabs – Vice President of Sales
Ed joined Premier Safety in January 2024 and is responsible for Premier’s Sales, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Fixed Engineered Systems, Customer Service and Digital Sales teams.
This industry is Ed’s passion and he brings over 35 years of sales, management and relationship experience both Globally and in North America to Premier. Ed has worked in senior leadership roles within Industrial Distribution, Industrial Buying Groups and as a Manufacturer. In addition, he has served this industry as a Board of Director for the Industrial Supply Association and on the Supplier Advisory Council for Affiliated Distributors.
Ed earned his Bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University and is completing his MBA from Louisianna State University.
