In order to prevent cuts, abrasions, lacerations, and punctures, knit gloves that are cut-resistant are compliant with the ANSI/ISEA 105 standards, so they can be used for a variety of purposes. Knitted gloves are formed to fit the hand due to the spinning of the yarns used in their construction. As a result of ANSI/ISEA cut levels, it is possible to determine what level of protection is provided. A glove with a higher cut protection number tends to be more dexterous. However, it will also be less protected as compared to a glove with a lower cut protection number.
